I think the idea was that maybe since it's such a large offering, that maybe MSFT is loaning (purchasing the subordinated notes) the money to CTXS for something big on the horizon. Then MSFT can convert them to shares later, if they choose to.

There has to be something going on other than what the press release says. They don't need, "working capital," from a cursory look at the balance sheet. No way.

CTXS certainly can't come out and announce anything either because that will most certainly drive the price of their target company up in advance (assumming there is going to be an aquisition). Even a hint of what their plans are could put the target out of reach.

All IMHO only without any real research.
