Kirk, A little pump-and-dump maybe? It's not like they haven't done that before (argh). Anyone seen any insider sales lately? I'm not a bean counter but is it possible SGI's old guard bailed out through the MIPS spin-off? MIPS stock has done so well - perhaps many SGI folks had nice little option packages in MIPS. The Titanic may be sinking but first class is safe and sound in their lifeboats.

Well if you arn't selling product. You use product to buy stock. If Wam can generate revenue to support stock, everyone wins. But it makes figuring out who worth what to whom a little more complicated. Short term thought, it may balance the books. It's dig through the 10-Qs time again.

Wam!net has a homepage at wamnet.com

They have a detailed news release about SGI taking
an equity stake in them.

wamnet.com

Some interesting things in this news release. Part
of the $75 million SGI invested includes some real
estate that SGI inherited when they bought Cray.
Wam!net is located in the Minneapolis/Eagan Minn
area. SGI now owns 8.6% of them. MCI WorldCom invested
$25 million also. All the details in the press
release.
