Today (Friday) could be unpleasant.

ORCL and MSFT will cause the obvious large NAZ plunge at the open, and some of the slime will get on SUNW (and everybody else). Whether buy-the-dipsters will soften it late in the session remains to be seen. I hope that you're right, Alok: I'll be happy if SUNW doesn't go below 103.

Hi Charles, I tend to think MSFT is teflon coated. I've heard Gates say a number of times that earnings would not meet expectations. But they always have.

When there's no serious competition, MSFT can keep growth high unless there is serious slow down in PCs.

Have you followed the PC industry? Will the drop in prices squeeze profit margins?

PS: Did you think Oracle's earnings were THAT BAD?
