Looks like you have not been to intermost (IMOT) www.intermost.com website. if you have you would see that the main focus is on Business to Business information. China does an exorbadent amount of trading within the business communities. Business is everything in China. i think the Internet might even have more potential for China in the effect these business can instantly access trading partners within their own industry or in other industries. We here in the states are just begining to incorporate business to business applications. intermost is providing the freeway to the bottleneck in China, and opening up trade like never before. Not to mention the New access to information which will stimulate their economy and help facilitate better business dealings from this new access to information. Looks like Intermost is in touch with the Future of China. In a Communist country INFORMATION is everything. I believe that we are all living in the INFORMATION AGE, and the quicker and faster you can get it the more successfull you will be. Just look at SI for example.

I have friends in China who are hard at work building GCHC into the premier supplier of fiber optics and related materials. I send them e-mails to keep them up-to-date on our society, etc. The government censors my mail-especially if it involves politics. There is a lot of intramailing going on but not much use of the net for buying. By buying, I mean, general public. The chinese expect the rapid growth of the internet, but they will use it for educational purposes. There are 7 or 8 ISP in greater china and controls are very strict. You won't read the language used on our threads. The webtv idea will be a boom. They love MJ and BG. They won't except our ideas on freedom but for business-the internet/communications has unlimited potential.
