Daniel,

<<<<OFF TOPIC?>>>> (Kinda Long and sorta rambles too I think!)
I recall when people were talkin' about UTI on here a while back.
I was lookin' at it then and then the Oils got hit and have been flat for a while!
I've had several long term plays where they tanked and then when I got back to even I sold! The thing that's frustrating is EVERY LAST ONE? The minute I sold took off! Two were T and NOKIA! I sold both right at 40 after holding about 12 months! I don't think either of them are there any more!
I decided I wasn't gonna do that anymore! So when it happened with PAIR? I figured this is the field to learn on! No matter the cost! I haven't read anything yet that's of value where some one who became successful at trading OR investing, just walked in and did it from day one, without goin' through some kind of hell! Well? Welcome to hell!
I don't mean that with respect to PAIR! I mean it in the sense that I am confronted with every fear and doubt that I didn't know I had! And Daniel? I do get scared! Anyone that says they don't? I believe is a liar or a fool or just plane stupid!
A lot of people on here have helped me a bunch! There are a couple of books they suggested I found very valuable! One is "Trading for a Living" by Alex Elder and the other is Stan Weinstein's "Secrets for Profiting in Bull and Bear Markets"
Sran's stuff has been helpful in being in this situation with PAIR and in realizing the mistake of holding till I'm even and then Bailing out of a stock! What I've had to do is back off and rather than focus on Day to Day with PAIR! Look at the 30 week Moving Average and the longer term charts! He breaks cycles into four Stages! What I did was classic! I bought PAIR in what he calls a stage 3 and chased it all the way into stage 4 and have had to wait for it to cycle. Through stage 1 which, PAIR appears to be in a later part of stage 1 and THEN! Ride it back THROUGH stage 2! Where the money is!
Anyway! It's a hassle but I chose to try this! If you haven't seen his stuff? You might want to check it out! It's allowed me to be patient when I thought I never could!
If I can get through this and succeed? I will have gained and will continue to learn and grow! Also hopefully become a better Trader/Investor in the process!
Lastly the one thing he talks about is stocks having good fundamentals which PAIR has and I believe UTI has also! That's also something I'm grateful for! With out those I WOULD be screwed!
Anyway Daniel, I believe it's about learnin' and takin' risks and takin' responsibility for my choices.
Hopefully we will ALL succeed in the long run!
Just some stuff runnin' in my head!(I told ya it's hell in my brain at times!)
Hope this is helpful!
I figure part of doin' this is sharin' the successes AND the failures! It's what makes us stronger!
Live long and Prosper buddy!
Your buddy,
Jay

Daniel,

i just sold my uti (they are located right down the street here in Sugar Land TX) - so it will probably continue it's rally! i believe this is a "suckers rally" in the oil sector. everyone is looking for the bottom and hoping this is it...my feeling is it's not and sector stocks will retrace recent gains. i took a loss on uti...decided to sell and buy back after 30 days at the bottom as opposed to waiting for it to return to the teens. i used the $ to buy more pair earlier in the week. good luck on your trades and thanks again for the idiot url - i sent it to my boss.
