Christian and the bench, I just wanted to pass my sincerest apologies for picking on Christian's use of the English language. I should have looked at his profile first. The bantering on this board has recently gotten a bit out of hand at times and I felt a need to defend some of my fellow benchwarmers. It seems that having an open discussion here has turned into more of an emotional discussion and less substantial recently and I made the mistake of getting caught up in that. I absolutely welcome all takers, both short and long, as I want as much information as possible . We are all here for one thing, to make $$, and at the end of the day, the way we each do that rests on the decisions only we make. That said, I want as much information as possible, but it would be nice to not have to filter through the emotions in trying to decide if someone presenting the data is only sharing one side of it. In getting back to the discussion at hand, could someone please explain to me how they calculated the float at 20MM shares? All the information I can find shows a number closer to 11MM. That is still an increase from last fall, but nowhere near the 20MM that some people claim. I have looked over the SEC data and still cannot come to a reasonable conclusion. The recent 10Q says the following: <<Issued and outstanding shares - 21,159,626 and 7,009,170, respectively>> That tells me that as of Dec 31, 1998, just over 21MM shares have been issued to shareholders of the 50MM authorized. I'm not sure what is meant by "outstanding" since Yahoo uses the same word to describe the number of "issued" shares. See the following link:biz.yahoo.com I can find no indication of any large institutional holdings that would reduce the float. However, is it possible that some of the issued shares were issued as options which have not yet been exercised? If that is true, it could account for some of the discrepancy. If someone could clear this up (in a calm rational manner), it certainly would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Dave
