Gary you are being purposely naive. I don't think you are that stupid. Msft has all sorts of spigots and filters to smooth any fluctuations. msft is the last place to look for guidance.

How much do they get from an original sale of office with a machine vs. an upgrade? Not knowing, I would guess that revs from upgrades are a fraction of those from new sales.

That sequential decline in revs they are predicting is a first, I think ...

i'm not saying msft has a corp slowdown.i'm saying they can't tell if pc hardware is slowing down until well after it has started.guys on the front line selling see it first .and they have all puked on their shoes.
