Hi Herm,

I bought July 40 calls, noting that the Apr and July bid/ask were very close. Then I decided to go out even further and see what the difference would be. There is not much difference. Why are there minimal differences? Maybe I should have gone out even further when I purchased? The underlying stock has gone up 6 points since I bought it, so a long term call might be good?

Thank you for your willingness to help those new to the option game.

Herm,

Could I get a little chart reading assistance from you here?

I am long PAIR with a cost basis of 9 5/16. The stock just got upgraded and has popped to 9 15/16. So it's tapped the upper BB, but the RSI is still in an uptrend from mid twenties to 44. It looks like the next resistance point is in the mid eleven range. So do I wait for the stock to hit that and then CC, or CC now? Based on my intellectual side's reading of the RSI-BB relationship, the uptrend should continue to that resistance point, so I should wait for that. My knee-jerk conservative side says that the stock has jumped 20% from recent lows and could easily give some back. There's so little time premium in the 7.5s that the 10s look like the obvious choice, the question is when.

Incidentally, I called CHRZ too early, as usual. Now looks like a good time.

Thanks in Advance, Tuck

Herm,

CHRZ - am I applying WINS strategy correctly?

I have been a lurker on this thread for sometimes and have recently started to apply the WINS strategy. See if I am doing it right.

I purchased CHRZ @ $13 on 2/18, expecting a dead cat bounce, which happened soon and wrote CC Sep 17.5 @ $3 on 2/24. So my Nuts is $10. My premise was that the stock will not go below 10, and if it does to buy back the calls and write new calls at lower strike to reduce my Nuts.

At this point it has touched the lower BB with RSI below 30 indicating possible bounce back. But upper BB is still going down, lower BB is getting flat to slightly up, and band width is narrowing indicating stock will stay in narrow range. Is this time to cover the CC or just ride.

Also, can you give your interpretation of ANIK chart, where is it heading.

Thanks for all the great lessons you have been providing. Don

Herm, What do I do with my RN Mar 30. I meant to close it out and write another round but never got around to it and then the spinoff news broke. Should I roll it forward on Thursday? (If it doesn't go down before that). Thanks
