Good morning to you, Mr. taxman:

Are you up early like this every morning? That must mean you see almost every sunrise out there on the West Coast. Must be a pretty sight.

As I have said, I am a long term holder in ORCL, have to be the way I figure it. I just think their stock price has performed well in spite of their management. Plain and simple.

But ORCL product is excellent and is everywhere, and if you believe in the future of ecommerce and the internet, one has to own the stock (provided one gets in at the right entry point). I got in last year when they had their little earnings problem and the stock got killed. I have made an excellent return since then, but every time I listen to Ellison speak I get the urge to sell. He always makes me think about my golf coach in college, he used to say: "Think about what you have to do on the course and forget about what the guy next to you is doing. If you perform to the best of your ability, you will win." I think ORCL management could learn from these wise words and leave the MSFT bashing behind.

It leads me to think ORCL is just not focused, or worse yet, OBSESSED.
