RE: BrowseMaster Request - color-coded messages.

Craig,

While everyone is getting their requests in, here's mine. <g>

What I would love to see is to have the interface modified in this way:

Instead of (or in addition to) the ignore feature, give us a "favorite" and "fool" color-coding option. For messages from someone we have flagged as a "favorite person", set the background color for the message to green. For messages from someone we have flagged as a "fool", set the background color to red. Leave the others with the default color.

I like to read every message, but want to pay closer attention to the posters who usually have good, on-topic things to say. I like to at least skim the messages from the fools, just so I can keep things in context and understand some of the later replies.

Re: Suggestions.

I second Jimmy's suggestion. I end up keeping one browser window open with the "old-fashioned" SI just so I can grab the URLs of messages that I want to reference.

Same but less frequent need to get personalprofile URLs.

Thanks Craig.

Craig,
I am so grateful for BrowseMaster and am spreading the word as much as I can! However, I am experiencing one problem that I've not seen addressed. I click on the first reply # on a "get All" list, ie #300 on thread ABC, to read the entire post, then later go to thread DEF and click to open the first message on that thread, I get sent back to #300 of ABC. I don't know why this is happening, but has been a problem from the beginning. Otherwise, it is running perfectly!

TIA,
KS

RE: Bug Report with "get all"?

I usually use button to get all new messages in all threads, but once in a while I use the option to "get all" in a single thread. Sometimes this doesn't work. Here's the message I get:

Internet Explorer could not open the Internet site
127.0.0.1:3456/download.pl?URL=reply-8308615
The server returned an invalid or unrecognized response

Yes, the BrowseMaster DOS box is working, and yes, the other BrowseMaster links work fine.
