I don't know the status of their financing but I'm sure you could phone the company and talk to the CFO. If you're a big enough player some companies will let you in.

Those founders are from Cascade Communications. They left ASND to concentrate on optical networks. Rumor is that they named it Sycamore because they were sick of Mory Eljabat, ASND's CEO. Pretty funny but I think they have publicly denied it.
