It seems to me the Democrats are free to boldly take positions ranging from social issues to socialism, and as a completely cohesive unit shout their message from the rooftops. The Republicans on the other hand, appear to give lip service to a desire for smaller government (but they hardly push for measures that aim to truly reduce government), and are loathe to stand as firmly as the Democrats on social issues. One never hears Democrats speaking about “big tents” on anything. They push their big taxes, draconian law and social depravity with passion and with one voice. The press is definitely a liberal device and so the press generally presents the liberal view on issues. The public, easily swayed by Democrat passion and unity, and saturated with the produce of a liberal press, meanwhile increasingly grows to think the liberal view correct.

If Republicans believe in anything they should present their vision to the people repeatedly and with passion. Nearly every time a Republican spokesman speaks, he should lay out the Republican vision simply and powerfully. You people sound like boring economists and little more. You really should start sounding as if there is something in your hearts. Then it will become very difficult for the Democrats and their media to frame you as they please.

One merely need remember the House impeachment hearings to understand what I mean here. The Republicans definitely had the facts on their side and they definitely had the moral high ground to consider impeaching Clinton. Yet all during the considerations you heard calm Republicans speaking calmly about the rule of law and honor, while liberals such as Barney Sweetboy and Maxine Waters shouted "THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE OVER THE GOVERNMENT!!!!! THEY ARE TRYING A COUP!!!! THEY ARE RACISTS AND CLINTON IS A WHITE BLACKMAN!!!! HELP US AMERICA!!! DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS!!!! HELP!!!!!" Now I agree that the press is a liberal device, but we must consider that given the two forces above even a conservative press would be somewhat compelled to report the rantings of the lunatics over the relative droning of the Republicans.

(When confronted with Democrat loonies you folks should stop cold and treat them as children. Were I in the house and heard such silliness I would have brutally chastised the loonies and embarrassed them by revealing them to be nothing but camera people -- no facts, no integrity and no brains. Then I would have presented my case with passion nearly equaling the loonies' but unlike them, I would have presented relevant facts.)
