Where did these spammers come from?

Oh well. Back, tanned and rested and ready to make some money.

I have a homework assignment for the thread regulars. I want to set up a long-term account for my daughter's education fund. I need 4 or 5 stocks that I can buy a few shares of, put them away, maybe check them once a year or so, and for the most part count on steady growth. I am not a fundamentalist, so I am not up to speed on the future prospects of the following list. Any insights are welcome. Also would like to hear what you all might buy were you in my shoes (wanting to buy your daughter's way into Harvard in about 15 years...)

Here is my list of long term, buy and hold candidates:

AMGN, BGEN, DELL MEDI, CMCSK, SPLS, MSFT, CSCO, AMZN, YHOO, SEPR, EMC, PVN, CNCX, VRSN, DISH

All have returned 100% plus the past year, and most are undergoing a minor correction allowing for a reasonable entry.

Again, all comments on the above, or your own suggestions, are welcome.

TIA, TC.
