Bob,

> What the heck is going on with this stock?

I really don't have a clue...I don't want to make a
"yahoo-i'll-try-to-change-the-stock-price-with-a-corny-message"
statement, but nothing is wrong with the fundamentals. I
expect all my US stocks to be in red numbers on a day like
this, but I'm surprised at RATL being beaten so heavily.

Their strategy and position is right on, this must be a worry
connected with the insider sellings (which I believe was for
other reasons, actually to sell when it was considered
'appropiate' to them). Competitors such as Mercury and Sterling
are not near Rational in market presence -- do anyone realize
that almost ALL universities and educational institutions are
now using or referring to UML,the amigos, and Rational ?

The only speculation one could make is that the suites are
being misunderstood by customers, that they HAVE to buy the
entire suites and can't as before buy the individual products
(which they can, but maybe the message hasn't been properly
carried through).

Long term, i'm not worried. Anyone know the number of attendees
at UML World in NY this week ?

Best regards,

/Hans-Erik

Tell me about it! I am in at ~22, watched it go to 8 then up to almost 40! I am really getting concerned at these levels. Aside from unexplained insider sales and the Lockeed Martin loss, every analyst seems to be very bullish. What does everyone think about these big drops on small volume?? This is apparently not a good sign. I am very much considering bailing out and watching from the sidelines, but this would be a great disapointment. I dont want to go back to the teens again. Any input??
