Paul, <<When are our politicians going to wake up and lower taxes???>> Well they are starting. Alberta just went to a flat tax rate for provincial taxes .... I wish the Feds and Ontario would too. Ontario has dropped taxes twice now in the last 2 years. We all hate taxes, but if I were given a choice as to having the national health care plan or lower taxes, I'd take the health care plan any day .... and most that have really looked into the pros and cons of the situation would too (the administration of Canada's system is far cheaper). No - we do not have an MRI on every block, but when one looks at YOLL (years of life lost) data, there is no comparison - ours is better. I had a very interesting conversation with an American gentleman this summer while on vacation ... at the end of it I think I had even him wondering too. MB
