Could you please define "BBN"

BBN is now owned by GTE.

Nite,

BBN is the private network that CyBerTrader uses to circumvent using the internet to connect. This would eliminate problems going through your regular ISP and the internet in general. It's supposed to be cheaper than using a fractional T-1 line. But I would get the frame relay instead anyway. Should be better and cheaper, to me.

They have local dial-up numbers in various cities, and you can connect through BBN if you are having difficulty any other way. I think their is an hourly charge, though, and you need to be registered through CyBerBroker to use the private network. I personally have not used it, so I cannot comment on how fast it is.

Bill

I not sure what BBN stands for. Cyber gave me dial up connection numbers for BBN with log on ID and password. It is an Internet feed with a different backbone. You can also access the web with this connection. Sorry for delay in response. I am not a regular poster.
