I was one of those outliers, or is it off-the-wallers, who wrote Cramer suggesting Dell as an answer to his question about ways to profit from "what we all know is happening". I think I made quite a few salient points which he fails to address in his comment, but at least he gave Dell a mention.

The problem is that Cramer is looking for a short term trade while claiming to play a long term technological sea change. What he fails to consider IMHO is that Dells business model, customer focus and execution are more important than being in the latest hot market niche. Any market with huge potential will quickly be filled by many competitors, and only the best will survive. Dell has proven its ability to adapt to new market conditions by following the lead of its customers. It does this much faster than others can adopt the strengths of the Dell model, assuming they even try.
