So, have they turned a corner?

I believe that they have. However they need to execute on GMR.

Will we get the saving news from Quantum that either SDLT is on target, and/or they plan to begin using RDRT heads for a new disk program?

Everthing that i have heard indicates that SDLT is on target. Based upon what Jane C. and others tell me, a new disk program at QNTM may be a ways off - to come after demonstrated volume delivery with reliable ship dates to other customers like maxtor.

Looks like that insider buy made the 3/15/99 edition of Barrons in the Insider Transactions. Unfortunately, RDRT is listed in the Decreases section because other insiders sold 11,241 shares. This doesn't agree with the data at www.insidertrader.com where a sale of 3,241 shrs at 17.5 on 1/27/99 is listed along with a Section 144 filing for 15,000 shares during the week of 2/12/99.

Frankly, i surprised that more insiders didn't sell when this stock hit $20 - i take this as a positive. The overall low percentage of insider ownership in this company is a concern though.
