Crude oil prices are up, OPEC appears to be finally succesful in agreeing to caps on production, the latest surge in the Dow has mostly been driven by gains in oil and oil service sectors. CNBC has a bunch of oil experts (who have been in hiding for years) touting oil stocks and predicting oil prices in mid to upper teens. That is the extent of my knowledge, no particular insight to the oil industry (whose fortunes fluctuate with crude prices). I should point out that we have seen blip ups in oil prices on hopes of production cuts, which have failed to materialize.

Regards

Alok

Dear Mephisto: Thursday of last week I bought a Oil Unit Trust for 5.87 a share (came out at 10 originally), exactly one week later, yesterday, it was up to 6.92 a share. Is that the kind of news you mean?? JDN
