The Street is afraid ORCL will have declining revenue growth. Tough to hold software companies over the long-term, only MSFT has been buffered over the years.

In contrast, my sense was that internet stocks would be immune from the bond yield, immune from valuation issues since for the most part they have no earnings, and THEY HAVE REVENUE GROWTH. In a new brand new industry, one or two new contracts can double or triple the quarter over quarter revenues of a company ... or market share gained is likely on the upside. In contrast, for conventional established companies, we have witnessed the debacle of coms and cpq and even fine stocks like intc and orcl ... when expectations were not net.

I have refrained from trading many conventional stocks until earnings were out, and focused on the internets in recent weeks for these reasons. Mikey, the voice of reason has not gone over to the dark side ... although on the surface it may appear so.
