Linux is mostly a (web) server OS

Application interfaces may be slow coming.

IBM is writing NetFintiy drivers for Linux now , haven't seen the specs , but may not contain APIs.

IBM wrote NT drivers a while back in which IBM controlled the file I/O.

Jury is still out but you can be sure IBM is not going to put Linux on a performance level with AIX .

AAPL's Server OS X should be more like AIX with a user freindly brain.
