HR executive Bob Mintz resigns
12 Mar 1999 – PLANO

EDS announced Friday that Bob Mintz, executive vice president of human resources, is leaving the company for personal reasons effective March 19. The search for a successor is under way among internal and external candidates. A replacement is expected to be named soon.

In the interim John Wroten, vice president of administration, will lead the company's human resources organization. Wroten will continue the company's efforts to create EDS' first global human resources organization. New initiatives to return the company to a performance-based culture will continue uninterrupted. The initiatives include assessing staffing needs, ranking employees based on performance, adhering to compensation guidelines and building the Global Workforce Management Support Group.

"Everything that happens in business happens through people," said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dick Brown. "Our efforts to build a performance-based culture will continue. The best people will receive the best rewards and opportunities. We will ensure that the development of all employees aligns with the company's highest-potential business opportunities."

Mintz joined the company last April.
