Gee, from where I sit, this stock has gone up about 50% in the last 10 weeks or so. That's an annualized return of about 700%. At that rate, by Jan. 1, 2001, CIEN will be about a $1000 stock. While I share your frustration at such a meager return, I think that sometimes we investors simply must take the long view. Does it cheer you up to know that if the current rate of appreciation continues for 10 years, CIEN will be worth about $8.5 billion per share?
