HOHAAAAAAHAHA NAME RECOGNITION!!! The public doesn't know the VP's name? Doesn't know there's been a Gore in the Senate since before the Wright brothers took off? Never heard his cousin Gore Vidal's name? Doesn't know who invented the internet and the interstate highway system?

Both Reagan and Bush were openly pro- life...Name recognition is important, but it is the recognition of the names of people who are neither Clinton nor Democrats, and in fact seems to indicate an underlying wish that they had voted differently in the first place. And, as I said, you seem to think that the world came into being when you became aware of it. Evangelicals have played a major role in the party, especially the platform, at least since '80. Remember the Moral Majority?
