Okay, so the LA Times doesn't check its sources either. If Ed Yardeni really had backed off his 70% recession prediction, that was news. So I went to Yardeni's web site.

Guess even the press is getting things wrong. Why am I not surprised.

Ed Yardeni is a hero of mine. He's been studying this issue for years, he's had private conversations with many IT leaders and he's willing to take a stand. When (and if) he backs down on his recession prediction, I'm sure that he will do it in his Y2K reporter.
