Dan, Where the heck did that first comment come from? That's the most cynical statement, from an obviously thoughtful person, that I can recall in a long time--"...I doubt there is much to learn from people who post on these threads--".

Given the cross section of our society represented here, not to mention the educational backgrounds and life experiences of posters on these threads, and this one in particular, I can only surmise that you are not nearly astute as you otherwise indicate--or your just trying to get a rise out of those here. Well it worked with me, if that's your intent!

Sure, everyone "has an agenda", that's human nature as you well know, and it seems to me to be the basis of our very successful capitalist society. But any sociology major knows that the factor that makes a society function is the cooperation of individuals and the tempering of their individual interests for the greater good of all. Otherwise an organized society would not remain. And if knowledge was not passed on from others, filtered by the reasoning capabilities of each individual, we all still be isolated in caves.

Just my opinion,

Bob

Dan,

I disagree, in order to learn Derrick needs to lose some money first. If he, for example, is successful in couple of his first stock picks he would not have learned anything. On the other hand, if he were to lose, I think he would learn a lot. I'm still in a process of learning(losing)ggggggg.

Best Regards

DAN... I think I will take to heart what you said about not being able to believe what people post on these threads because everyone has an agenda. I'm starting right now by assuming you have an agenda and I will not trust what you have to say. BTW, my agenda is too stay long MRPS and make money.
