SJS,
>>>>We are talking about the same thing, only I do technology
marketing professionally,>>>>
Thats what I am talking about, you are a techie and I am a stocki.
You market products and I market stocks, see the difference? The company is not the stock and the stock is not the company.>>>>NO ONE buys TV time to hype their stock,>>>>>
I disagree. Look at the ads on TV and the radio that are promoting a company that the consumer doesn't have much choice in their products. Do you think the consumer is looking for a car with TRW parts? How about DuPont with their raw materials, do you look for DuPont on the products you buy? I think not but they advertise. Most companies promote their stock with advertising so the execs can exercise options at a higher price and then the company does a buy back of stock to raise the price, also known as money laundering. How about the endless stream of news releases of little importance that we see from companies usually on Business Wire or another paid service, thats marketing the stock. Consumers don't see the BW report that details an alliance with AOL when all the company did was pay AOL for an ad. The price of ones stock is too important to leave to the whims of the marketplace.
See you at $200
