Michelle and All: If the net is growing by 73,000 people per day and ORCL is the premier net data base software than where is the concern going forward. If they can make the bottom line on a slow qtr. what will they do in a strong qtr. Had they been smart they would have done what MSFT did and said that revs. would be light but they would have no trouble making the estimates for EPS. Think about it - it is all in how you tell the joke.

The analysts and institutional investors understand it all too well.

It amazes me that some on this thread would rather bash analysts instead of taking a hard look at ORCL's performance this past quarter. I guess it is easy to make analysts a scapegoat when things go bad. How many people on this thread were engaging in sanctimonious whining when analysts were upgrading ORCL?? Probably nobody.

And if you guys are so much smarter than the analysts why didn't you see the revenue shortfall coming and short the stock before the report?
