WOW! No kidding! I must have been going to the original one... I used to go there frequently in 1975 through 1979 and hit it once in the 80's I think. The one I went to was in West L.A., so it wasn't too bad a drive when I was working in South L.A. Like I said, the stand was made of plywood. There was a plywood overhang in front of the counter that opened up to the sidewalk. People used to stand 4 or 5 deep just shouting there orders in. They used to squeeze 3 or 4 people back behind the counter with barely enough room to turn around in. If the gal working the counter wasn't careful and took a full step back, she'd be warming her buns, the grill was so close. They sure have come a long way! I know it is the same outfit though... it's basically the same menu. Well, I'll be! Lazarus, thinking I might get involved with RTIN afterall...
