Johannes: I'd say that was about right. However, I do reserve the right to use the bazooka to swat the like of Schuh, Harris and other bigoted, amoral, antireligious types if the bazooka is handy. Fight fire with fire. Fight pernicious lies with sarcasm and ridicule. JLA

Nice, Rev. Pilch. A bit selective in the context you choose to quote, I'd say. You can always go back one or two more post if you want. On this particular chain, I first addressed the esteemed Mr. Vaughn in Message 5845599, reply #5417 here, which quoted a long retrospective article about Lawrence Walsh. To which the esteemed Mr. Vaughn replied:

Iran Contra was not a frontal assault on the Constitution. That's absolutely ridiculous. It certainly was a policy dispute between congressional democrats and the republican white house. Lawrence Walsh was a stooge of Tip O'Niell and Jim Wright.

You post that rubbish like it was some kind of dissertation of fact. It is not, it's an opinion piece from someone like you who wants to use the "everybody gets away with it" excuse. But facts are facts. There were no impeachable offenses and Walsh was proven in the end a vindictive partisan slob.

And blah blah blah. Right now, I'd say Walsh has a better reputation than Starr, but that is, of course a political judgement. But notice the above: "Lawrence Walsh was a stooge of Tip O'Niell and Jim Wright." "Walsh was proven in the end a vindictive partisan slob." And of course, a long retrospective article from current local favorite publication NYT, on what was certainly considered a major political happening at the time, is "rubbish" from people like me. But that's not personal, right, Rev. Pilch? Only Billy Boy knows the facts of the matter. To which I replied,

As for stooges, right now it looks like most people think Ken Starr is a stooge or worse. Oh, I got that definition wrong, "stooges", like "stupid" and "hateful", exclusively apply to people who disagree with you. You got "facts" on your side, though. I hope you and Ken enjoy your pompous moral superiority good in the weeks to come.

Ok, I said something about "You and Ken". Having absorbed the "rubbish from people like you" line directly before, along with heaps more from the esteemed Mr. Vaughn elsewhere, big whip. Anyway, you left out a bit of that enjoyable dialog.

Go back to third grade and learn to read, idiot.

Where we finally get to the bit you quote, Rev. Pilch:

Thank you for the compliment. War is peace, Ignorance is strength, and Ken Starr is non-partisan and objective in his quest for justice. Not a hint of hatred there either. You're making me feel stronger all the time.

Cheers, Dan.

And thence your favorite Ahhhnold line. Shove it, Rev. Pilch.

And lest we forget, Rev. Pilch, aside from the bizarre conundrum of the "leftist ad hominem", there's this.

I can credit you with some good faith effort in attempting to nullify your own filth here, but Vaughn and JLA go from strength to strength on that matter. As for JLA, he was consistent right from the start.

Sanity check! Anyone who would continue to support this lying scumbag is the one who needs a sanity check. JLA

Message 5537610 , post #63 here, long before I had the misfortune to wander into this pathetic home of the brave. I can give JLA credit for being an equal opportunity abuser though, he'll pump pus on anybody who deviates from the moral reformation / decline of the west due to Clinton line.
