<Cheryl, mind your p's & q's and ignore Chubs.>

OK ... will do. I got more emails and PM's in past few days telling me to do same. I was just bored yesterday.

House is coming along GREAT. New river-rock fireplace, with raised hearth, finally finished. 9' wide, 10' tall. I drove everyone crazy cause I wanted soft-colored ivory stones and not grey. It's the heart of the home. Always my dream. Adjacent bookcases being installed next week. Next is entryway with high cross-beams and rock pillars. And then ... a boulder & rock water-fall at entrance with shrubs, ferns and perennials :-)

All of the guys working around here have become my friends - kind of an extended family. Lots of bartering and "trade outs" going on. I couldn't afford some of what they're coming up with. The guys came up with the idea for the waterfall at the entrance. I couldn't do it without them.

Moving up here, at this point-in-time was the best thing that ever happened to me. When I was in Houston and wanted to get together with friends ... they had to check their "Daytimers". Up here, someone's ringing my doorbell or knocking on my door each day. Lots of spontaneous stuff going on. Lots of down-to-earth, happy friends and neighbors. Yes, it's very different up here.

You know ... I probably wouldn't have ever thought of moving up here if it weren't for Y2K. And yet, it was probably one of the most positive moves I've made in some time.
