There was an avocado tree in my back yard, and a lychee nut tree in my front yard. That avocado tree had fruit twice a year, big suckers, hundreds of them. If you go back, you gotta get a ripe pineapple from one of the fields. I had a buddy named James, a local dude, who drove a chopped VW bug. He swiped a carload of pineapples one time and passed them out to everybody in the neighborhood. He would go spearfishing every Saturday by Kailua and bring home fish. Cool guy, he was a helicopter gunner in Nam. Wait, I mean this guy that I didn't know very well, I forgot his name.
