Here's a stretch. CMGI's up to something that Wall Street's missing. If I had to characterize what CMGI's up to, I'd say it's a next-generation, "open" AOL. It works any way you want it, dial-up or broadband. And it will be as "viral" as Wetherell can make it. Infrastructure Content Community E-Commerce Tied together with CMGI-TV/Magnitude Network. CMGI isn't exactly laying out its Master Plan, but all of the pieces are there. If you listen to the conference call, you can see the handwriting on the wall. Meanwhile, all Wall Street can do is fumble with CMGI's quarter. Did they make First Call's estimate? Did their book value increase? Will they duel with Diller on LCOS? Who cares?! They're smokin'! Comments? BAM
