Thanks. I tried a flat fee, which has agreed to, but never kept his word, so unless I negotiate EVERY time before making a trade, he charges me the full service. And then it isn't worth arguing again and again. I am reducing my trades thru the full service broker, AMZN was an exception as I was short on cash in the trading account.

I do have a Schwab account, but the restraint on trading thru the full service broker has resultred in more profits per trade. Plus the advantage of a guaranteed response time is often advantageous in fast moving conditions....And he knows that. So maybe thats why he's calling my bluff....

Anyway...I do have to do something about it...pretty soon.

Sarmand,

I do about 500 trades a yr. Do you know off the top of your head which discount brokers will be willing to negotiate their rates?
Ideally, i would love to pay a fixed fee a yr, say $5000 for an unlimited # of trades.
