You had it right the first time. The battle is over..CDMA is the defacto champ. Essentially no one will build a brand new TDMA based network, extensions yes but from scratch? This stuff about China is weird. What are they gonna do? Build a whole bunch of GSM systems which they'll have to mutilate to bring up to 3G? Doesn't sound very cost effective. Maybe they'll just wait it out and go WCDMA from inception,maybe that's a possibility but how long will they have to wait? Ericson is still driving around in a van with a "phone" the size of a clotheswasher.
