Steve, Glad to see you still have a sense of humor. "This has not been a good week" deserves a Wendell! IDX hit a new 99 low yesterday and I had to buy twice just to get it to $6. Looking at the on balance volumn line I really can't figure out how we are holding $6. Insiders look like rats deserting a sinking ship. DBII beats us out on a contract we supposedly had in our pocket. If Randy thought the stock was going to double anytime soon, but really needed money, would he be selling instead of taking out an 8% loan. Does he know of competitors ready to bump off part of the airport business, IF it even comes about? I think we need a rallying cry. I nominate: jokes.thefunnybone.com After the pizza party we'll all feel better. I'm ready for a good game of Pump and Dump. Boogeyman Hockey Junky

steve,

I think the FAA will do something fairly soon. I don't see that they have much choice. The cargo system works.....and gets the Oracle data base into the airports.....where it can be expanded to all security doors and gate doors.

It would be a very large undertaking......and the dollar amounts quite large. If the FAA pays for the systems......and awards one large contract....then I can't imagine who else would be able to perform on such a contract other than Oracle and IDX.

If the FAA just "suggests" to all airports that they look into a system like this...without any muscle or money behind it....then the story changes.

I think this would be a hard way to go.....as I'm sure that the FBI will want to install their own data base of very bad people into the Oracle data base at any and every airport. You never know when or where the very bad people will show up.

Hard to say.....but I do think that IDX has spent much time and effort working on very large systems and applications. Buying IDT is an investment in the future....as was the Fingerscan deal. If you are planing on being the subcontractor of very large systems....you need the nationwide support to service such a system. IDX has that.

I think IDX is in a quiet period......so they can't say anything....even if they have something to say.

I don't think things are nearly as bad as the stock price suggests......and that the prospects for next year and the year after are very interesting. Many factors are bringing IDX down.......and to me it means this is the time to load up......again.
