TNT cheaper than Banshee?

I went into CompUSA Thursday, and saw Creative's AGP TNT retailing for $99, whereas the cheapest Banshee was $129. Normally CompUSA's prices suck. I wonder what gives here?

Further, my wholesale supplier has the following prices currently:

Creative TNT AGP OEM/Retail: $84/$85
Creative Banshee AGP OEM/Retail: $90/$108
Diamond Viper 550 AGP OEM/Retail: $94/$123
Diamond Fusion AGP OEM/Retail: $96.5/$121

BTW, I know these aren't great prices, but they their other component prices more than make up for it.

Cheers,
Tim

Michael, thank you for a clear, rational argument for why the prospects look good for 3DFX and V3. I could not agree more. Let's see if there is a clear, rational response.

Jim

You guys are really getting delusional here. Forget 3dfx and Nvidia brand. If you had to choose between a Voodoo3 or Tnt2, 9 out of 10 times people would choose Tnt2.

And Michale, regarding chip yields... 3dfx and Nvidia use the SAME manufacturing company and besides Nvidia plans to ship a month later than 3dfx.

Guys the die is cast. Unfortunately 3dfx's hopes are pinned on Rampage NOT Voodoo3.
