FNDTF - the latest official 50% Gain In A Value Tech Stock, bought at 17 7/8 and closed at 27 1/8 on Friday. Could run further on EPAY sympathy. Also a buyout target eventually.

Since most people probably wander over here looking for picks, here are the 50% Gain winners for the past few months:

IFMX - bought 7 1/2, high 14.
FHT - bought 15, high 24 3/4.
CMGI - bought 36 (72 pre-split), high 226
RNWK - bought 54, high 109
VRIO - bought 28, high 54
WCOM - bought 52, high 87
EPAY - bought 19 5/8, high 60 (sold at 40 - ouch!)
DBCC (short) - sold 38, subsequent low 13

We also booked nice 30% profits in MRCY and KEA, and a smaller profit in PLCM.

What about the losers? Nothing over 50% this year. Sold NITE and DISH at a loss instead of holding for a profit; small losses in IACO, TNO, KCS and ERGO.

Still holding open losers in PROG - 20%, NETS - 36%, CPU - 41%, FLYR - 33%, MXTR - 34% and CMIV - 36%. All are good value candidates except NETS, which is a speculative play, and CPU, which is in for a rough year. That's why I violated the 10% loss rule and averaged down in MXTR, FLYR, PROG and (unfortunately) CPU.

Bottom line - portfolio is now up 27% YTD. That would rank as #10 among all US mutual funds, according to Bloomberg.

Have a nice weekend everyone. And post some new picks!
