Howard, I bought nearer term, June, puts on CMB, not Leaps. Leaps are usually too pricey for my taste. I sold calls on the gold stocks in my IRA income account. I own them unhedged in my cap app account. Income and cap app have different approaches to risk and return. Bill Fleckenstein is the one who likes Pan Am Silver. I don't know it very well, though I like silver. You might want to post to Bill. You will find notes from him on the thread. MB
