I am glad they are not spinning off MSN yet. It really makes no sense to spin off. Right now, they can work with IE and MSN but if it was spun off, it would be a lot harder---for them to develop more internet products as easy as they can now. Right now from a development point of view, they have a good arrangement. If MSN was doing poorly, then a case could be made for spin off. They are number 3 portal right now and getting better--the new advertising budget is going to be a big help in getter users to the site. MSNBC is increasing lead over CNN. Also read that press release article from Thursday regarding MSN not the negative media coverage it has been getting.
My opinion is that they have very competent people running the company (just look at their track record) and will manage MSN and other bigger areas very effectively.
It takes some management to dethrone IBM!!!!!

If Compaq is going to warn--get it over with on Monday. Then the cloud is lifted. I am looking at buying Gateway soon and adding
more Wal-mart options.
Got enough MSFT and INTEL options.
