dave,

Always a bit more premium on the puts as compared to the calls.

Compare;

OEX 648.27

OEYOD Mar 610P 9/16-5/8 (about 38 points out)
OEYCP Mar 680C 1/4-5/16 (about 32 points out)

Crash protection on the put side means higher premium as markets fall faster then they rise. I usually don't spread the put side as I don't want to expose myself to any crash scenarios, but that doesn't mean that it isn't a good play. They will keep those quotes tight though to prevent making a decent spread without going to a 15-20 point difference in strikes for deep OTM options. Premium not too bad in the 635/630P's, looks like you should be able to get a point or so. Will be checking some open interest numbers and try to determine the MAX Pain Point.

Good Trading

Dave
