Well that's that then. With Wetherell indicating he has expressions of interest from four other firms, and also saying that he has sufficient voting interest to block things, a new round of bidding is not far away. Unless pride gets in the way, I think USA Nets still has the upper hand, but there will undoubtedly be new suitors. By the way, did anyone else note that there's still nothing to be heard from Lycos mgmt? Strange that their largest shareholders are waving the anti-deal sword and Lycos is acting like it's (merger) business as usual.
