ATAPI and SCSI Zips are significantly faster. As for price, Iomega has always stated that their eventual goal was a $99 external Zip. They also said that they would hit that goal only when they had reduced costs to the point where they could sell the drive profitably at that price. I doubt they are losing money on them. - Allen
