At least he's interested in technology. Better that than George Bush agog over a grocery store price scanner in 1992.

>>In my new book, Speaking of George Gilder, published by the Discovery Institute, I predicted at the outset of the Gorbil administration, many such cock-a-doodle doo claims: "Gore will run out to a fencepost and chime 'cock-a-doodle doo'" at the sunrise of all the new technologies emerging during his administration.

Remember, Gore is an Atari Democrat. They were so anointed by the media back in the 1980's as the latter day whiz kids that knew that the Feds had to direct high tech the way the Japanese did if we were to salvage that vital sector from that "juggernaut". Like those other failed whiz kids of the 1960's, the Atari Dems were wrong big time, but unlike the former, they were never in control. The Reagan administration rejected their prescription for government control, though feinting with an assist to the semi-conductor industry. The rest is history.

Gee, you don't hear them called Atari Democrats anymore. Wonder why. Funny, all three - Atari, Atari Dems and the Japanese system - effectively went bankrupt. I guess that's why Gore is now a cutting edge Luddite. At least he hasn't yet claimed credit for the sun rising.

George can you make any comments on Wave Systems at this time? I have seen that you are a director for WAVX and I know you have to be careful, but they are at a very crucial stage in their development. Thanks in advance. Wesley
