<< High frequency wireless at 24, 28, and 38 gig (Teligent, Winstar, Nextlink) will be cheaper and far more readily deployable than fiber or coax in some 975 thousand business buildings now served only by $2K per month T-1s and such. >>

Another company, Advanced Radio Telecom (ARTT), is also using 38GHz to bypass the RBOCs and outrace fiber deployment in the last mile.

Unlike WCII, TGNT, and NXLK, which are CLECs, ARTT is an ISP focusing on data only, perhaps the lion's share of the FBBW opportunity going forward.

We're a small firm, and we pay a whole lot less than $2K/mo for our T-1, with no long term contract required.
