Wayne, I can't speak for MusicGuy, but I think he's trying to say that if SI isn't part of the solution they are part of the problem. He's trying to approach the problem from a moral viewpoint whereas SI is just looking at the legal implications and essentially saying "what me worry and, besides, controversy equals clicks equals dollars". SI does address the issue in their Terms of Use, although my guess is that MusicGuy would say, nonetheless, SI hasn't gone far enough:10. ADDITIONAL DISCLAIMER AND WARNING The Securities Exchange Commission has expressed concerns that the stock price for companies with small market capitalization (also known as "small cap", "micro cap" or "penny" stocks) may be particularly susceptible to manipulation. Therefore, you should carefully evaluate the information posted by other members about such stocks on the Five Dollars And Under discussion threads, as well as on other Silicon Investor threads. Silicon Investor assumes no responsibility for the accuracy, currency, completeness or usefulness of information in any material on its site and it does not endorse any opinions or recommendations posted by members, nor does it give tax or investment advice or advocate the purchase or sale of any security or investment. If I were SI, I would contact MusicGuy and try to come to some common ground. One idea might be to put the link "Investor Advisory" in red next to the thread header. That URL would lead to a section of the Terms of Use that warns about the dangers of momentum plays and how there's a good chance others have already positioned themselves prior to their "picks". At that point, if people still choose to get suckered into the perils of mass hysteria, well, bummer. Yes, such a thread distinction would be arbitrary and thus I can see people who create certain threads complaining, but I can't think of any better way short of asking thread creators to voluntarily choose to add such an advisory, which opens up a whole other can of worms. - Jeff
