FWIW now that BII trading options CT securities only require 30% on margin . Do you know if others have lowered margin requirements .A very positive development.

Denise, the problem here is nothing is adding up. For sure Bid.com is trying to build a customer base but even with the big $'s they've spent on advertising to date we see where their 4th quarter revenue is basically flat with their 3rd quarter. This on top of the fact that other ecommerce companies have shown significant growth rates during this period.
My problem with their margins is I can't find (and no one posting here seems to be able to refer me to one) another company that's operating successfully with 6% margins. I had a look at some recent results from the Hudson Bay company and while they are certainly in a different form of retail, their margins are apox. 35% and they can't show a profit. FYI the Bay's advertising costs are in the 3-4% range.
