According to the story, Jim Croce died in a plane crash just after doing what he told his wife was to be his last tour after which he was going to spend time with his family. They had had a child only a few years prior to his decision, and he was becoming increasingly aware that his profession was keeping him away from the woman and child that he loved dearly.(Incidently, Jim Croce's son, A. J. Croce (?) has followed in his father's footsteps and is doing his music. I, however, am not familiar with his music)

From the story they did about him, he would do something I found interesting. After a gig at one of the area bars near his then home somewhere in PA, he would invite people over to his house with a diversity of ideas. It was said that he would invite a priest, and also a white supremist. It was said that he made friends very easily and could make a very lasting impression upon a person.

I went to the video store today and asked about the Neil Young movie, "Year of the Horse". They didn't have it, nor was it listed in their book of movie titles. This leads me to believe that it is probably something which Cinemax has put together on their own. Hopefully, they'll put it on video sometime in the future.

I wonder, are old rock 'n' rollers as appealing musically as they get older. Neil is starting to show his years.

Until next time,

Mike

P.S. If you have access to The Discovery Channel, this Monday they're going to be showing a program about a sunken island palace once belonging to Cleopatra. I've been looking forward to it, and hope it will be very interesting.
