Lets take a little closer look at MICAP's Arequipa Resource since Barrick bought it out for $800 million dollars. As always you need to look at the numbers a little closer in order to understand things.

Take a look at this link: atamericas.com

Hmmm. Wow...Seems like really high numbers! Or are they?
Perhaps the numbers just represent a small paystreak in the overall gold formation. Hmmm

Take a look at this link:
barrick.com

Barrick lists Pierina properties resources as 112 Million tons of ore grading .064 oz/ton or 1.875 grams/ton with no copper! Where did the 7.74 g/t gold go? Hmmm. Looks like it was just a paystreak!
Thus far Lipangue's gold numbers including the copper are actually better than the resource average at Pierina. Furthermore, the mere 112 million tons of ore pales to the amount of ore that appears to present at Lipangue. Hmmmm. (Not to mention Pierina is up at an elevation of around 15,000 feet!)

Folks-remember porphyrys are low grade bulk deposits! They may have some zones of enrichment but overall the grade is probably going to be below 2 grams/ton.
