Thanks for the advice on housebreaking. I've already come up with a "word" for it...well, actually my wife came up with it. It's "TORY". So get this, the puppy's name is "LAVA"...and the other word is "TORY"....LAVATORY! Anyway, my wife came up with that and I thought it was cute, so that's what were going to use.

I'm prepared for the sleepless days (I work graveyard shift)...and my wife is ready for the sleepless nights. The benefit of our arrangement is that someone will be home at all hours.

I'll be gentle with the pup...I understand she's just a baby. Like you said, the puppy will soon enough learn she isn't "alpha" in the house.

Pup will be crate trained, and probably sleeping there. Got the alarm clock and crate ready...and now can't wait for Lava to arrive.
